Anthony J. Hall is a Partner and leader of the Leach Firm’s Employment Law Group. Immediately prior to joining the Leach Firm, Anthony worked for the nation’s largest plaintiff’s law firm where he advocated for the rights and interests of employees across the country in all aspects of employment law. Previously, Anthony spent 20 years defending corporations at some of the largest employment law defense firms in the world. Anthony now brings his 20 years of experience defending corporations to the Leach Firm where he will zealously represent the people.
Anthony is nationally recognized in the field of employment law, having litigated and tried federal and state employment lawsuits throughout the country, including but not limited to claims for sexual harassment, discrimination based upon race, national origin, age, disability, religion, and gender and retaliation and whistleblower claims. Anthony has also litigated numerous wage and hour collective actions and individual lawsuits alleging failure to pay overtime and other violations of state and federal wage laws. He also has extensive appellate experience, having argued before the United States Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, the Florida Supreme Court and several Florida District Courts of Appeal. In addition to his trial and appellate expertise, Anthony also counseled companies regarding best employment practices and conducted management and other preventive training on workplace legal issues, including sexual harassment.
Anthony is admitted to practice in Florida, Georgia, the Supreme Court of the United States, the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Florida, the U.S. District Court for the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Georgia, the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, the U.S. District and Bankruptcy Courts for the District of Columbia, and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas.
In addition to the practice of law, Anthony is an Adjunct Professor at the Florida A&M University College of Law, teaching Pretrial Practice and Trial Practice courses.
Anthony has served in leadership roles with several national organizations. He previously served as the Vice President, Finance, for the National Bar Association as well as a member of its Board of Governors and Executive Committee. Anthony also served as the Region XI Director for the National Bar Association and during the 2022-2023 bar year, Anthony served as the organization’s General Counsel. Anthony is a Past President of the Virgil Hawkins Florida Chapter of the National Bar Association. Anthony is also a former member of the Board of Directors of the National Employment Law Council. He is currently a member of the National Employment Law Association and its state affiliates in Florida and Georgia, a member of the Labor and Employment Sections of the Florida Bar, the Georgia Bar, the American Bar Association, the National Bar Association and the Orange County Bar Association. Anthony was also the past Chair of the Labor & Employment Committee of the Orange County Bar Association during the 2021-2022 bar year. Anthony previously served on the Florida 18th Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission from September 2008 until June 2013. He is a member of Leadership Orlando Class 49. Anthony has been recognized as a member of Florida Trend magazine's Legal Elite, which includes only the top 2% of lawyers practicing in the state of Florida. Anthony has also been recognized as a member of the National Black Lawyers Top 100 Lawyers. He is also an active member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.
Anthony received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Morris Brown College and his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Florida, Levin College of Law.
